Pack 6 Brookline

Our last pack meeting of the year will be Wed, June 23d at 6:30pm at Church of our Saviour, 25 Monmouth Street, in the upstairs hall.  A "camp-out" has been planned for the evening.  Each family should bring a blanket to sit on during the meeting so we can all hang out around the campfire instead of in our usual formal chair configuration.  Volunteers are needed to bring drinks and s'mores style snacks for the meeting.

We had a great fun campout at Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury the weekend of Sat June 12 & Sun. June 13.   Despite the dampness and some drizzle the boys rose to the challenge and hiked to Tippling Rock, climbed a glacial erratic (a big rock left by glaciers), saw frogs and toads, pumped their own water and slept in tents or the cabin.  We were still able to have a campfire and cook hamburgers and hot dogs over it.  For dessert, many marshmallows were toasted and s'mores consumed.  We had songs, stories and skits; watching the campfire from the relatively dry cabin porch.  Cubmaster Eric whipped up pancakes and eggs for breakfast, and like good scouts we tried to leave our campsites cleaner than we found them.
