How can I get involved?
Pack 6 is a 100% family-run organization. That means we need parent/guardian volunteers to help the Scouts learn through group activities- from hikes to hands on learning. Please consider donating your time and expertise! Lion and Tiger Scouts require a parent/guardian at all Den meetings. At every other level, parents are strongly encouraged to stay and participate.
Adult Volunteers: Free
Adult Leader Membership Dues (i.e. Pack & Den Leaders): $33.00/year
Adult Leaders should apply via paper application and submit a CORI. Please contact our Chairperson, Dean, to become a Pack 6 Adult Leader.
Additional Pack 6 Class B Shirts (Scout or Adult) are $20.00/each.
Optional Boys' Life Subscription: $24/year
What's after steps 1, 2, 3?
(4) Nora, our Recruitment Leader, will connect you to your child’s den once we receive your application.
(5) Obtain your Class A uniform from either of our Scout shops in Milton or Woburn: www.scoutspirit.org/shop. The people in the scout shop are super helpful- just tell them you need the typical Class A uniform and the handbook for your child’s den level.
(6) Lions and Tigers only: A parent/guardian must attend all Den meetings with their scout. Please fill out an adult application and CORI form. This is FREE, unless you'd like to become an official "Den Leader" ($33/yr)
What do my dues do?
Our annual scout dues include:
Boy Scouts of America, BSA, (national) dues: This helps pay for national level support for our Pack including adult training, program development, and administration.
Adventure Card (Spirit of Adventure Council, regional) dues: This provides access to New England Base Camp and all of its activities for your Scout as well as discounts for your family.
Pack 6 Dues (local): We use these dues to pay for awards, meeting space, derby kits, and food.
Pack 6 Class B Shirt (local): A shirt to identify a member of Pack 6 (Scouts and adult leader) at events that do not require our best uniforms. For example, hikes and certain Den meetings.
